Introduction

Augers UK is a division of Trantec Solids Handling, which specialises in the design and manufacturing of augers screws. The methods we use are highly adaptable, allowing our engineers to produce a single “one-off” auger or cater to long production runs as many of our customers require. To ensure our client’s needs are met in the first instance, our “try-before-you-buy” service is available for multiple orders, taking the risk out of new product development.

Traditionally, Auger manufacturing techniques were considered more of an art than a science. Production times were slow and in the hands of very few highly skilled craftsmen. However, Augers-UK has worked hard to develop modern auger manufacturing methods, opting for the latest in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacture (CAM) technology both to create high-quality auger screws and speed up production, which allows Augers-UK to meet our clients’ highly demanding production schedules. With the manufacturing process not being labour-intensive, once the design is finalised, production can begin with minimal human intervention, reducing labour costs and allowing us to sell our auger screws at a sensible price.
